MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The cool snap is going to continue, with frost alerts for overnight issued in northern portions of Minnesota.
Temperatures are expected continue to cool into the weekend, with Saturday looking to be in the mid 50s. Isolated showers are possible.
Sunday looks mostly sunny in the low 60s.
“It is going to be a cool weekend with highs running 15 degrees below average both days,” WCCO meteorologist Chris Shaffer said. “There may be frost up north both mornings. There is currently a Frost Advisory across northern Minnesota for overnight tonight.”
A bigger warm-up is possible going into Memorial Day weekend, Shaffer said.
Severe weather swept through Minnesota Thursday, focusing mostly on southeastern Minnesota. Plenty of people in the Twin Cities area did see hail, though.
