North Chicago police are investigating the death of man who was fatally shot Sunday evening in a parking lot.
Authorities said they responded at about 11:20 p.m. to the 1100 block of North 10th Street to reports of shots fired. They found a man laying in the lot with a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a hospital in critical condition, but subsequently died, police said.
His identity has not been released, but police said he was 33 and a North Chicago resident.
