A gunman shot and injured 4 other folks, one critically, in the German school the city of Heidelberg on Monday.
The gunman then turned gun on himself, police confirmed.
“A lone offender injured a few people in a lecture corridor with a long gun. The offender is dead,” Mannheim police mentioned in a press release, however did not give details of his id.

Mass-selling newspaper Bild mentioned the shooter, a student, opened fire in the lecture hall, injuring 4 other folks. Investigators stated that he had no political or spiritual causes, Bild delivered.
Police mentioned that they have been “now not aware of any letter claiming duty”, as they called on the public to avoid speculating.
The incident came about in a lecture hall within the Neuenheimer Feld space of town, where the university health center and scientific instructing facilities can be found.
The gunman used to be defined as being armed with a “long gun”, most likely a rifle or shotgun.
