Why the omicron Covid variant is the most concerning so far

A chef has taken Christmas dinner one step further this 12 months, opting for to show his turkey and trimmings right into a pie that weighs an incredible 1kg.

Gareth Mason, the head chef of the absolute Bar and Bistro in Westhoughton, Bolton, mentioned his creation used to be “absolutely delicious” and a “Northerner’s best possible Christmas present”.

The pie is stuffed with turkey, stuffing, greens and pigs in blankets, and at 10 inches in diameter and five inches deep, is large sufficient to feed a family of four.

Mr Mason, 34, said: “it is a complete hunk of pie. i wouldn’t even wish to try to rely the calories in it.

“we’ve got shredded sprouts, roast carrots, parsnip, diced turkey breast, roast potatoes, stuffing balls and turkey gravy – all encased in a large, thick shortcrust pastry shell.

“it might feed a circle of relatives of four in one pie, simply. it’s a self-contained Christmas dinner. it’s worthwhile to simply drop it off on Christmas day and all of the leg work is completed.”

to forestall his festive introduction from having a soggy bottom, Mr Mason blind-baked the pastry and pre-roasted the foods prior to filling the pie.

Despite The Fact That the pie will not be on the market, Mr Mason is making plans to trial a smaller version for the restaurant’s festive menu.
